AE / G4LE, HYBRID (Electric motor integrated with 1.6L GDI engine) / 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid uses a 1.6L Gamma GDi inline-4 petrol engine (engine code G4LE) combined with an electric motor for hybrid operation. There is also a fully electric version with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor and a plug-in hybrid version for selected markets.
2020 HYUNDAI Ioniq G4LE/G4LC (AE)
AE / G4LE, G4LC, AE31 / Multiple powertrains available globally: 1.6L Gamma GDI petrol hybrid (G4LE), 1.6L Gamma MPI petrol plug-in hybrid (G4LC), and 100 kW synchronous permanent magnet electric motor (AE31) in Electric variant.
2021 HYUNDAI Ioniq G4LC/RKS (AE)
AE / G4LC, RKS / Three main powertrain versions: 1.6L GDI inline-4 petrol engine (G4LC) for Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid models; and a 28 kWh Li-ion battery electric motor (RKS) for the full Electric model.
2022 HYUNDAI Ioniq G4LEC/G4LEC-EV (AE)
AE / G4LEC, G4LEC-EV, Motors: Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (Electric variants) / Available as hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric powertrains. Hybrid and PHEV use 1.6L GDI Atkinson-cycle I4 with 6-speed DCT or 6-speed automatic; Electric uses a 136 hp permanent magnet synchronous motor.
