When the PCM detects an unexpected open circuit, a short to ground, a short to voltage, or an out-of-specification resistance within the injector's control circuit, it sets this diagnostic trouble code. - 3Using a noid light or an oscilloscope, check for a proper injector pulse signal at the control wire terminal of the injector connector while cranking the engine. A noid light should flash steadily, indicating the PCM is attempting to fire the injector. An oscilloscope provides a more detailed waveform analysis.
