1999 Acura CL F22B1/F23A1 (KA7)
KA7 / F22B1, F23A1 / Front-engine, front-wheel drive VTEC 4-cylinder engines with DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder. Two main engine options: 2.2L F22B1 SOHC VTEC and 2.3L F23A1 SOHC VTEC (Canada).

2002 Acura CL H23A1/J32A1 (UA1/UA2)
UA1/UA2 / H23A1, J32A1 / 2002 Acura CL came with two main engine variants: a 2.3L inline-4 (H23A1) and a 3.2L V6 (J32A1) for the Type-S trim. The 2.3L H23A1 features SOHC with VTEC, and the 3.2L J32A1 is a SOHC V6 with VTEC.
